About the Event

Welcome

Message of EAA president and LOC chair

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 13th European Congress of Andrology (ECA2024), which will be held in Stockholm from 4th to 6th September 2024. This biennial congress is a significant event representing the most relevant scientific and educational gathering of the European Academy of Andrology (EAA). Furthermore, it stands as one of the most important conferences in the field of male health, typically drawing specialists in andrology, urology, fertility treatments, as well as basic scientists interested in the biology of male reproduction.

Academicians and regular EAA members will engage in discussions on recent advancements in both basic and clinically relevant research in andrology, alongside hundreds of andrologists and basic scientists from around the world. Much like the previous twelve editions, it will serve as an excellent forum for presenting cutting-edge basic/translational and clinical research in all areas of andrology and for discussing clinical practices related to andrological diseases. ECA2024 will also provide an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), the American Society of Andrology (ASA), EAU Section of Andrological Urology (ESAU), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the ANDRONET COST action. It will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas to promote andrology in Europe and beyond the old continent and to further intensify our activities related to Male Health Awareness.

ECA2024 will be organised by the EAA together with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), composed of researchers and clinicians from the NORDFERTIL research lab Stockholm and ANOVA (Andrology, Sexual Medicine, and Transgender Medicine), the EAA-accredited Andrology Centre at Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital.

The Congress will primarily take place at the München Bryggeriet, a wonderful location in the centre of Stockholm, with satellite events at Karolinska Institutet. Stockholm is replete with architectural masterpieces, history, and culture, and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We can assure you that Stockholm and its surround countryside offers unforgettable cultural and memorable experiences, and we hope that congress attendees will enjoy their free time after the sessions in the capital of Scandinavia.

We are confident that this congress will be remembered not only for its exceptional scientific content but also for the outstanding venue and the long Swedish summer days.

On behalf of the European Academy of Andrology, we look forward to welcoming you in Stockholm.

Message from Program Organizing Committee chairs

Dear Colleagues,

The Program Organizing Committee (POC) worked hard to create an attractive scientific program for the 13th European Congress of Andrology. We ensured that all subspecialties of andrology are represented: endocrinology, fertility preservation and treatment, urology, sexual medicine, seminology, and andro-genetics. There are also several sessions of interest for basic scientists active in male reproductive biology. We are delighted to announce that we have secured internationally renowned plenary speakers. The many parallel sessions are now in place. Those of you interested in learning practical andrology should consider attending the ANDRONET-sponsored pre-congress course.

We are delighted to confirm that you - as the Congress active participants - are an important part of the scientific program and we thank you for your abstract submissions. We have selected some of the best abstracts for short oral presentations. However the great deal of scientific discussion will take place at the two Poster Sessions. So enjoy the chance of presenting your work to your peers before the final publication.

See you in Stockholm!
